First of all, congratulations to my sister, owner of muphinlair. Yes, she is now the proud owner of Louie, a month (I believe) old cockatiel. He’s very gentle and tame and stuff, but quite young, so he’s harder to train. He currently resides in his spacious green bird cage on the first floor of our house. :mr.green:
Another wonderful occurrence: We finally had our party! Yes, it’s quite late to have a birthday party that is weeks from the actual date. It was a sleepover, so… yeah. I stayed up ’till 7:40-8:00 ish, so I was pretty tired. That whole day depended on my one hour of sleep for that day. After the sleepover, I watched a movie with two of my good friends. It was Get Smart. The movie itself was pretty decent. I can’t say that I openly loved it but it was just pretty good. The whole movie revolves around a man, Maxwell Smart, who works for Control, a high-tech spy organization that monitors KAOS, another high-tech organization that usually deals with explosives, etc.
Well, the movie was based on an old and popular comedy show, Get Smart, 1965. Anyway, back to the move:
To my amusement, the movie basically uses the same opening scenes (with updated sets and theme song) showing Max Smart heading to Control, passing through many high-tech gates, and finally ending up in the telephone booth, which is an elevator like contraption. The movie was pretty humuorous, but sometimes a it predictable.
Coincidentally, the following day I watched the old series, Get Smart on KCODC or something like that. It was funny in a quaint, old fashioned kind of way.
