Category Archives: TOTALLY AWESOME!!

Finally, I’m able to post. These past few days have been quite hectic for me, but I’m glad to say, I bought my cellphone! It may disappoint some of you when I say I actually didn’t buy the Alias or enV2. In fact, my two sisters bought those. I bought…the Glyde! I know it’s a little surprising, but I really like my new phone. The Alias turned out to be pretty cheap in my mind. First off, my sister paid 100 for

it because of a discount, and I paid 210 for my Glyde. My other sister paid 139 for her enV2. (she got a 70 dollar discount, lucky her)

My Glyde turned out to be really cool and stuff. It’s a touch-scree

n with a a sliding QWERTY keyboard… It has a pretty cool camera-phone and can read HTML browsers fairly well. I’m lucky because pretty much everyone I know has a verizon contract thingy. I also have unlimited texting so I’m all set, I guess. That means all my friends should give me their numbers now!

I have been avidly texting/calling friends just because I finally have my new cell phone. I can’t say that my family is too happy about it, though. And since I’m visiting relatives, It’s not such a great thing. Yesterday night, I was talking to my cousin in Utah (she’s doing some volleyball camp) while playing scrabble… no wonder I lost… well, actually, I came in third place next to Melbatoast and Wap Wap.. (They’re secret names that we use when playing Scrabble…don’t ask)

Updated: Here are some horribly edited, 5 minute pictures of me and my cellphone that is wonderful.

So, it’s been years and years and years, and now I’m finally getting my cellphone! You don’t even know how great it feels to wait like four years and finally get what you’ve wanted. In case you didn’t know, it feels great! My family’s already set up with Verizon, so yippee me, I get to pick from a Glyde, Venus, Juke, Chocolate, G-Zone, enV, LG Decoy, Voyager, Alias, and all the other nameless phones that either sound like some warrior, FBI term or random gibberish code: LG Darkmage G-force type s5 z65-suw8. Trust me.

For example, the Samsung SCH-u620. Or the LG VX8350. I mean, do they give their phones such complicated names just to confuse us? Does it lend to the techy feel of the phone? We may never know.

But all of these questions, all of these outbursts of anticipation and excitement are quelled. Yes, quelled. I have narrowed down my searches to the enV and the Alias. Partly because I probably won’t be able to afford much else, and partly because I really want a nice new phone. The problem is that I happen to really love the overall appearance of the enV, I just love how the Alias is more versatile in that it can be held in two ways. Another main factor is the price. The enV2 is $50 more than the Alias for quality. It’s not like I’ll be needing that since I probably won’t be using V cast, but still, I just like the enV better. Then just get the enV already! You’re probably yelling at my dumbness. Well, yeah, I can, but I just want a unique phone. Well, both phones are in ther own ways, I guess. First things first, my parents keep telling me that I shouldn’t spend $200 on a cell. But why not? They say they got their for around 150, but then, theirs are just basics. The point of new, modern phones are simply to look new and modern, no? I mean, what’s the point in having those plain old Motorolla Motorazor’s that just look the smae as they did 10 years ago? An that weird G’zone… ugh, disgusting if you ask me.

The job of the consumer is to sit back and just let the phone companies amaze you with their new, inventive phones. Our job is to marvel. I mean, take a look at the Juke. From a far off glance, it looks more like a fun-size candy bar than an actual phone.

Back to my main question…which phone should I buy? You tell me!

Finally back from camp! Phew, it was…..tiring. The camp is up in the mountains and is oh so very cold. We did a number of activities, such as, archery, compass navigation, hikes, a ropes course, and more! Unfortunately for me, I was stupid enough to believe that my camera was NOT in the very front pocket of my backpack. (duuur I’m stupid) Well, I suffered in the unusual cold (for me) and watched with a helpless dismay as my hands and lips cracked and bled. Other than the cold, the camp was great. I personally believe that the cold was the only thing that was negative about camp….I mean, we did have pretty long hikes(ranging from 1 hour to about 2 1/2).As I mentioned before, I HAD NO CAMERA (or so I thought) and so…. I, again, suffered.  I mean, the view was AWESOME!! We were overlooking the mountains (elevation= 61,000ish) and everything! It was so beautiful!

Well, maybe they’re not MAJOR, but hey, I changed my blog a bit! I added some sidebar stuff… they’re all contacts on different sites. Me on Weemee, me on Deviantart… and more! Feel free to talk to me via these contacts. =D
